introduced to me by my bro. the alcohol from the rum burns off, but the sweet flavor soaks in and stays in the beef. almost like a caramel flavor.
serves 4
Ingredients:
- 1/2 to 1 lb. beef, cubed
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- little bit of minced ginger if you feel like it
- any veggies you'd like in any proportion. i like using:
- 1 cup red bell peppers
- 1 cup onions
- 1 cup broccoli
- splash of Captain Morgan spiced rum
- salt and pepper
- 4 cups cooked rice, preferably Korean :)
- Heat a skillet/wok. Add beef and cook for 2 minutes.
- Put beef to one side of pan and add garlic and ginger (you might need to add a little bit of oil if the beef is too lean). Cook for just a few seconds.
- Add onions, then broccoli, then bell peppers with one minute intervals. Cook until veggies are done.
- Stand back and add the Cap'n. Cook for a few minutes until the alcohol burns off.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over rice.
